Madisen McCleary, PhD
Madisen McCleary, Ph.D. is the CEO and first hired employee of Skip Technology. Previous to taking the position of CEO, Dr. McCleary was lead hands-on cell development R&D. She is an expert in fuel cells, corrosion studies, coating technologies and material design and manufacturing. Madisen earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portland and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Montana State University. Madisen cares deeply about our planet and has dedicated her career to bringing climate change solutions to fruition.

Joshua Campbell
Joshua Campbell is an accomplished financial executive with a Master’s in Accounting and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. He possesses extensive expertise in strategic financial management and CFO services across a range of sectors, including manufacturing and technology. Joshua has demonstrated a proven track record in startups and strategic planning, and his leadership in implementing accounting systems has significantly enhanced financial processes and efficiency. His ability to drive innovation and support business growth uniquely positions him to drive success for organizations. Mr. Campbell is working for the company as an independent contractor and fractional CFO.

Joey Haber
Joey Haber is the Executive Vice President of Business Development at Skip Technology. Mr. Haber handles investor relations and business strategy both stateside and abroad. In 2020, Mr. Haber became the first investor in Skip Technology. In the years since he has executed a grassroots strategy to secure early funding. Mr. Haber has spent the last 13 years cultivating deep relationships in Beijing, China. Through these connections he has built strong relationships that have opened the doors to business opportunity.

David Leach
David Leach leads our manufacturing efforts. In addition to directly coordinating with our manufacturing partner, Puyallup Tribal Enterprises, David designs, drafts, and refines all Skip Technology power cells and prototypes. He oversees our CNC shop and automated manufacturing processes.
David brings over thirty years of experience in product development, including designing and manufacturing custom-made products for aerospace and defense contracts.
Karana Dunn
Karana is in charge of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) measurement and analysis, reference electrode manufacturing and testing and hydrogen absorption measurements at Skip Tech.
She started her career in battery technologies, gaining expertise in electrochemical cells that helped land a role in the flow battery industry as the R&D engineer at ESS Inc. She is passionate about new technologies and wants to transform the future through renewable storage.
Karana received a BS in Chemistry from Portland State University and a MS in Chemistry from the University of Oregon.
Heidi Schlunt
Heidi helps develop and implement power cell testing techniques, conducts cell electrode corrosion testing and assists in data analysis.
She enjoys the demands of a startup environment and is excited to be part of the fight against climate change.
Heidi received a BS in Physics from Walla Walla University and a MS in Physics from Washington State University.
Morgan Maurice
Morgan does a bit of everything at Skip Tech. She assists in the creation of carbon materials, routinely builds power cells and tests them and helps with numerous projects that pop up in the day of an emerging company.
She has extensive experience as a lab technician, primarily in the bioscience and health industries, mastering a skill set that is transferable to designing and building energy storage systems.
Morgan has a BS in Forensic Science with an emphasis on Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Benjamin Brown, PhD
Benjamin Brown, Ph.D. is the co-founder and president of Skip Technology. Dr. Brown is an expert in fluid dynamics, and he leads our research efforts. He earned his B.S. in Physics from Harvey Mudd college and a Ph.D. in astrophysics from University of Colorado Boulder. He has served as a tenured professor of astrophysics at CU Boulder for over a decade, and his academic work on the solar dynamo was recently featured on the cover of Nature magazine. Ben is passionate about helping develop the solutions we need for our warming and climate-changing world.

Brennan Gantner, PhD
Brennan is an accomplished rocket engineer. He has designed and flown space-certified hardware (equipment/machinery) successfully and has over 20 years of experience in project management as well as prototype design, building and testing with NASA, Lockheed Martin and NOAA.
He translates Ben’s designs into buildable devices: his skills in team leadership, modern additive manufacturing techniques, and material science have underpinned the development of our clean power infrastructure systems. Brennan also brings expertise in clean tech entrepreneurship, leading the core team who are developing our business.

Bradley Root
Bradley Root represents Puyallup Tribal Enterprises (PTE) on the Skip Technology board. He provides advising and expertise on manufacturing and coordinates between Skip Technology and PTE, Skip Technology’s manufacturing partner. Mr. Root is the CEO of PTE’s Manufacturing Division. His professional qualifications include over 30 years of manufacturing, process engineering, general business, entrepreneurship, and leadership. He ran GM Nameplate manufacturing with more than 1200 employees and over $160mm in annual revenues.
